Tankless water heater have become extremely popular in recent years.
Energy costs are as high in the Miami Valley area as anywhere in the United States. Homeowners are always searching for ways to save money, particularly when adding an extension to their home. Tankless water heaters seem to be the preferred solution to saving money on energy bills. They can provide up to 40 percent in savings compared to traditional storage-tank heaters.
A tankless water heater, also known as an Instantaneous or Demand Water Heater, provides hot water only when needed or “on demand.” With an endless supply of hot water, a homeowner doesn’t have to cope with the problems of a conventional tank water heater, like running out of hot water at inopportune times.
These models do not have a storage tank and no water is stored internally. When the tap for hot water is turned on, a flow turbine within the water heater senses this, and instantly heats the water.
Electric units deliver 2 to 5 gallons of hot water each minute. With a gas-fired model, you will get an even higher flow rate. The cost of a tankless water heater is higher than the standard tank models, but the money you save in energy costs will make up for the difference in price.
